Concord - Updated, 8:16 p.m. Attorney General Kelly Ayotte has made a "preliminary determination" that a state trooper and the Springfield police chief were justified in using deadly force in a July 26 incident in Charlestown that resulted in the death of Anthony Jarvis. But her report raises questions about police tactics, communications, and the decision to enter Jarvis's trailer.

Bristol - Updated, 6:03 p.m. A small plane crashed and caught fire near the Freudenberg-NOK plant this afternoon. Two people on board were injured. One, a woman, was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

AUBURN - Not long ago at Strikers East Bowling Center where he worked, Jason Lavigne sat down with a teen-age girl who was struggling with her weight. He quietly advised her to eat a more healthful diet and, having successfully battled the scale himself, offered to help in any way. Lavigne, 32, died Monday night when his car careened off Route 101 and struck two vehicles heading eastbound.
Washington, D.C. - Six more senators, including New Hampshire's John Sununu, are backing a bill they say will break the stalemate over offshore drilling in Congress.
MANCHESTER - The dominant airline at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport will cut three flights a day in January. The airport's deputy director expects more bad news.
MANCHESTER - Like many other residents, Teddy DeJesus thinks Victory Park is one of the city's prettiest.
